Maxima is probably the world’s most famous and best known fishing ‘nylon’ and is still the first choice for many of the world’s most experienced and dedicated anglers.
In the1920’s good craftsmanship was very much a matter of pride and a Max Gottlieb Meinel established ‘MAXIMA’ in Markneukirchen, Germany.
During the early 1950’s MAXIMA grew and built a new plant in Geretsried essentially for the production of ‘monofilament’ nylon fishing line. Now, MAXIMA’s state-of-the-art R&D and its manufacturing facility is still nestled in the hills of Bavaria.
Using the latest most advanced technology, MAXIMA still manufactures the highest quality fishing line. Their continual dedication to achieving the finest quality, their focus on customer satisfaction, exemplary engineering, and continuous product development, all contribute to every spool of fishing lines and leader that MAXIMA produce.
Whilst the original ‘Maxima’ nylon monofilament in Clear, Ultragreen and Chameleon is still at the core of their business and used worldwide, Maxima has continued to be at the forefront of integrating the latest materials and developing new state of the art lines. They now produce a wide range of other superb fishing lines and fishing leader tippet materials such as Braid 8, Crystal Ivory, High Visibility, Tuna Blue, IGFA Class and Maxima Fluorocarbon.
